I am an ecologist specializing in functional ecology and biogeography. My previous research has focused on covariation patterns of functional traits across leaves, stems, and roots, examining how these patterns are shaped by environmental conditions and evolutionary history. At the Daru Lab, I plan to use machine learning to extract the plant functional traits from the herbarium specimens and explore the patterns and processes underlying functional biogeography across spatial and temporal scales.
